North of Eden

North of Eden combines photography, poetry and conversations to depict a German teenager’s yearlong stay on a remote potato farm in the high desert of southern Idaho, USA, in 1989. The film portrays the experience of being a newcomer and gives insight into the thinking of those who live in the secluded, rural community of Eden in the American Northwest.
