NORTH OF EDEN, INFO

North of Eden is a mixed media project that includes audio, poetry and photography. North of Eden explores a German teenager’s yearlong stay on a remote potato farm in the high desert of southern Idaho, USA. The project gives insight into the mindset of people who live in a secluded, rural community in the American Northwest and documents their view of ‘outsiders’. Keith and Sharon, an extraordinary couple of local farmers, comment on life just ‘North of Eden’.

While this project is personal, it also speaks to a wider audience about adolescence, identity and the experience of being a foreigner. North of Eden addresses the question of how to illustrate memory, how to photograph the past and portray the elusive.

A book and two films are part of this project.
